Vidaloca & Piem – Roots (Feat. Rhadow Remix)


Set to be released on the 6th of June, 2015,‘Roots’ is a two-track EP, comprisingVidaloca and Piem’s original mix together with a remix from Romanian talent Rhadow.‘Roots’ is looking to introduce the summer season with a bang, having an immense talent pool behind it.
Barcelona based DJ and producer, Jordi Almirali Shanchez, better known as Vidaloca is a Tech House and Techno specialist whose resume speaks for itself. On the other hand, fellow Spanish DJ Piem certainly adds weight to this team-up with his years of experience at the very top. Also a regular on Beatport’s ‘Top 100’, Piem has been associated with some of the world’s foremost labels such as: Stereo ProductionsToolroom,SanityKinetikaLapsus Music and Transmit to name a few. His unique take on House music has also been appreciated by some of his internationally renowned peers, including: Nic FanciulliDubfireAnja ScheiderPaco OsunaRoger SanchezDavid SquillaceChus & Ceballos and many more. Their latest creation ‘Roots’ is already on track to continue the duo’s chart topping legacy, having already enjoyed massive pre-release support by various DJs globally. Offering House, Techno, Tech House and Deep influences, ‘Roots’ is driven by punchy, percussive rhythms whilst boasting subby, infectious melodic loops. The intricate percussion beats give an exotic feel to the tune, whilst the darker side of it is explored with the deep bass-lines and sub-frequency melodies. The remix job for this track was entrusted to the world famous artist Rhadow. A highly original, uplifting, Hip Hop infused style has become Rhadow’s unique musical signature and is surely proving to be a hit.
Rhadow’s rework of ‘Roots’ reserves a deeper touch and harder beat when compared to the original. Dabbling into the Deep House and Chill-Out genres, his remix is led by a laid-back groove, whilst unleashing clean melodies as an accompaniment. Radu Remus, the man behind the Rhadow moniker, takes full control on dynamics, making it one of the strong points within his remix.
This two-track ‘Roots’ package is now part of Mile End Record’s rich catalogue.
